Over 10 years of warm service and bold flavor—sharing our kitchen with Atlanta since 2008.
Chef Jason’s Story
I’m Jason Chang, the chef and owner here at Man Chun Hong. I opened this place to serve real food with real care. You’ll often find me behind the wok, cooking fast and focused while watching guests enjoy their meals. That little window between my kitchen and the dining room? It means a lot. I get to see the smiles, the moments, the meals that matter. This isn’t just cooking—it’s a connection I’m proud to share every day.
Built on Stories, Cooked with Purpose
What started as a small spot off Buford Highway grew one table at a time, thanks to kind words from our guests. The food I make comes from my family’s story—a blend of Chinese and Korean roots that have been connected for over 150 years. That mix of cultures shows up in every dish we serve. It’s simple, it’s honest, and it’s the kind of food that feels both new and familiar at the same time.
Rooted in Family, Raised in Atlanta
I grew up in Marietta and learned to cook by watching my dad in the kitchen—he once cooked for the president of Korea. He didn’t just teach me recipes; he taught me the meaning behind every sauce and spice. After graduating from Georgia State, I stayed close to home and opened Man Chun Hong. I wanted to share real Chinese food in a way that felt special but still easy to enjoy. That’s the heart behind everything we serve.
Man Chun Hong, which opened in 2008, is truly an expression of Chef Jason’s love for food and community. Guests can expect to see his wife managing the front of the house while his team of friendly staff built of family and friends work together to bring authentic meals in a comfortable, feel-good setting. 开桌 (Plate Up).
